As June comes to a close, it is good to have all the seeds in the ground! Now it is a matter of keeping everything watered consistently to beat Idaho heat. We had one day with temperatures over 100 degrees...very hard on young plants. As well as keeping up with watering, one of my duties is gopher control...They are very destructive to the trees we have planted in the park...eating the roots and killing the trees. They also impact irrigation by piling dirt and diverting the water. I have been painting the old/new buildings around the place to spruce things up a bit and have been organizing areas/spaces around the farm. Off I go to work on painting the barn by the greenhouse. I hope everyone has an amazing 4th of July celebration!
