Photographer Photo Shoot Information
Welcome and thank you for choosing Flaming Acres Farm for your photo shoot location.
Keep in mind that a photographer is not provided for your photo shoot. If you sign up for a time slot, you are acting as the photographer, purchasing the time for you and your clients.
Photographer Fall Options:
-
The first option is for photographers to book a photo shoot which gives access to the garden area, sunflower field and corn field during the fall season. These are hour long, private sessions and cost $45/hour plus ($1 fee & 6% Sales Tax). The days of the week available are Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesday September 9th- October 23rd.
-
The second option is to arrange a photo shoot with a client during the hours the farm is open to the public. Fall hours are Saturdays & Sundays noon-6 pm. Photographers purchase a $25 photographer pass online or on the farm the day of the photo session & the clients get free admission during the time of the photo shoot & must enter and exit the farm together.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:
-
Once again, your photo shoot time slot is self-serve. No one else should be there during your time slot. Dion & I may be working around the farm, but we will try to give you privacy and stay out of your way.
-
Photographers, make sure you communicate with your clients if you cannot make it to your reserved photo shoot slot!
-
It is best if you handle one clientele per hour. It is a more relaxed and a better experience not to be rushed or overflow to the next photographers time slot.
-
Please let us know if you are bringing animals such as a dog. And if you do, bring dog bags and be sure to clean up after the animals.
-
Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you are wanting to pick flowers during your photoshoot. We take cash only for u-pick flower picking, so be sure to let us know & we will work out the arrangements with you. (Only do this if you are picking entire bouquets for example. If you would like your client(s) to hold a few flowers, that is not a problem). In the fall we have pumpkins available for your photo shoot in October. If your clients would like to purchase pumpkins, that will need to be arranged in advance.
-
Please be sure to respect your time slot as the slot before and after you could be booked. If you decide to pick flowers this also needs to be done during your time slot, as we want to guarantee exclusivity to everyone booking.
-
Just a reminder, this is a working farm. Agriculture is messy, dirty, and the weather and conditions are unpredictable. There could be mud, irrigation water flowing, dirt, bugs, smoke, wind, rain, storms, dust, sprinklers running etc. at the farm during your photo shoot. These conditions can also affect the way the lighting or flowers look. The farm is not grown for photo shoots. We do not guarantee the farm to be picture perfect. Keep in mind that we cannot guarantee certain types of flowers for your photo shoot.
-
We will happily reschedule a time for you if something changes and interferes with your photo session time slot. Text or call Debbie at (208) 630-4049 right away so the change can be made for you. There are no refunds, so keep this in mind. Let us know if you encounter a problem. We will do our best to make things right! We did give you a heads up about some of the risks you may encounter with outdoor photography on the farm. Private photo shoots are Mondays-Wednesdays 4 pm to sunset. You may bring clients during the hours we are open to the public. If you choose this option, we charge $25 for a photographer pass for this type of photo session. This may be purchased online or at the farm. Fall Harvest Festival hours are Saturdays & Sundays noon-6 pm.
